NORTH WEST OF ENGLAND BRANCH CHAMPIONS 2010


The Chorley Pipe Band is now well on it's way to re establishing itself as a competition pipe band, with all our targets achieved, and in most cases surpassed for the 2009 competition season. We are still extremely keen to build upon our recent achievements, and are always looking for new members to join either the Pipe Corp or Drum Corp of any ability, from beginner to experienced pipers and drummers. We currently have pipers and drummers in the band from all around the North West including, Chorley, Lancaster, Preston, Leyland, Manchester, Merseyside, Warrington, Rochdale, Cheshire and Lancashire.
We hope to be present at all local and major competition in the 2010 season including the World Pipe band Championships, the Scottish Pipe band Championships, the British Pipe band Championships and Cowal Pipe Band Championships.
 
We hold twice Weekly lessons on Bagpipes and Drums, which are held in both Chorley and Warrington. We are currently teaching pipers and drummers of varying ages from 9 to 60, so if your interested why not contact us and come along to a practice and have a look around.

In 2009 the Band won the NW England Branch RSPBA Trio piping Competition and were placed Second in the NW England Branch RSPBA  Mini band competition in what was our second year on the competition circuit.
 
The Band is also available to hire for Weddings, Private functions, Birthdays, Parades, Charity events. We have also supplied Pipes and |drums to the European Elvis Championship in Blackpool, The Rod Stewart convention in Blackpool and have just recently had one of the bands bagpipers on Coronation Street. We have travelled all around  the North West, from the Lake district to South Cheshire, performing at both indoor and outdoor events for many different clients such as local authorities, schools and church groups, to name but a few.
